33.) STL — Brian Price, DT, UCLA
The team could go receiver with this pick but with only one taken so far it is hard to imagine that one won’t be there in the third. Brian Price however could potentially get gobbled up in the top-20. Price is a nice blend between Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy and he will help fans to justify taking a QB with the first pick.
34.) DET — Ryan Matthews, RB, Fresno State
The Lions will skip the OT position with the 2nd overall pick and while they should address it here, I seriously doubt that they will. Detroit has cried wolf for too long and my computer won’t allow me to mock them an OT early until they actually take one early. If the team skips the position then they may be looking to add a weapon on the offense to help take some of the pressure off of the passing game.
35.) TB — Everson Griffen, DE, USC
The Bucs are were a team known for their defense. They helped bolster the defense with their first round pick, and if a player like Everson Griffen is here at 35 then it is hard to believe that they won’t bolster the DL even more.
36.) KC — Cam Thomas, NT, UNC
The Chiefs love positional value and if a nose tackle is worth it here (especially if Terrence Cody is here) then they will jump all over him. Cam Thomas would solidify the DL to stop a fairly powerful running division, and the team can attack less positionally valuable needs later on in the draft.
37.) PHI (from WAS) — Navarro Bowman, OLB, Penn State
Bowman is a unique player that could go in the late first, or in the early 3rd. I think he ends up in the mid 2nd because of athleticism and potential.
38.) CLE — Tyson Alualu, DE/DT, Cal
The Browns could realistically take just about anything with this pick, but adding DL help makes a ton of sense here.
39.) OAK — Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
Dunlap didn’t have the elite 40-time that he should have at the combine to warrant a 1st round Al Davis grade, but he might be a freak enough athlete to get taken here.
40.) SD (from SEA) — Rodger Saffold, OT, Indiana
The Chargers need to get OL depth from this draft and Rodger Saffold is a great value here.
41.) BUF — Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
The Bills may get screwed out of Clausen in the first round and if they do they could very easily be looking at Colt McCoy or Tim Tebow here. Tebow has all the potential in the world and a team like Buffalo may fall madly in love with him. While it shouldn’t matter his popularity is also a great fit for a struggling team too.
42.) TB (from CHI) — Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech
The Bucs have fixed most of the problems on their DL, and they now must focus on offensive weapons. Demaryius Thomas is my favorite receiver in the draft and I believe he could go as early as 20th to the Texans.
43.) DEN (from MIA) — Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame
The Broncos biggest need in the draft is to find a ton of help at receiver. Tate adds a legitimate deep threat for Kyle Orton( enter arm strength joke here) and the team may be able to take some of the pressure off of the run game.
44.) NE (from JAX) — Jahvid Best, RB, California
Jahvid Best has an enormous amount of upside at the next level and if he falls to a team with a lot of other threats then he could become a Chris Johnson type of threat.
45.) DEN — Koa Misi, DE/LB, Utah
The Broncos don’t have an urgent need anywhere which makes them hard to mock for. They signed an entire new DL this offseason, have no deadly need on defense (except maybe MLB), and their OL is decent. I believe that this pick will be to add a ton of potential firepower to the rush linebackers across from Dumervil.
46.) NYG — Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State
The Giants biggest need might be to upgrade the CB core. Robinson is another one of those players that could go in the late first or in the early third, so his value is pretty good here.
47.) NE (from TEN) — Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois
Randy Moss likely won’t be on the team much longer and they will need to find a solid WR1 player in this draft. Benn is bleeding with athleticism and a good skill set but might need to be whipped into a top notch player.
48.) CAR — Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
If a quarterback is here then I wouldn’t be shocked to see him taken, but because there isn’t one the team must look to find a receiver. LaFell is a tremendous talent that could become the next big name LSU receiver.
49.) SF — Jared Veldheer, OT, Hillsdale
The 49ers got a huge upgrade at OG in the first and if they can grab a talent like Veldheer in the 2nd they will have an amazingly powerful line to play with for the future.
50.) KC (from ATL) —Nate Allen, S, USF
Nate Allen is a tremendous talent that looks penciled in to become the fourth safety taken. Taking him here will also help to justify not taking Eric Berry with the 5th pick.
51.) HOU — Perrish Cox, CB, Oklahoma State
If the Texans had taken Kyle Wilson in the 1st with the hopes of getting a receiver here in the 2nd then they would have possibly been screwed. But taking Dez beforehand allowed them to still get a great corner here.
52.) PIT — Damian Williams, WR, USC
With the departure of Santonio Holmes the Steelers have become very thin at receiver. Williams is pretty much the end of the 2nd tier receivers and is good value here.
53.) NE — Alex Carrington, DE/DT, Arkansas State
Perhaps the biggest need for the Patriots would be to address the 3-4 end position. Carrington is an underrated talent that fits perfectly in most 3-4 schemes.
54.) CIN — Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona
The team doesn’t utilize the TE spot well, but Gronkowski is a good blocking tight end that doubles as a great pass catching force.
55.) PHI — Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia
Part of me wants to explain how the Eagles need to address the DT spot in this draft while the other part of me wants to make a Geno Steaks/ Andy Reid joke. I’ll let you the readers decide that one on your own.
56.) GB — Chad Jones, S, LSU
The Packers may need some major help at rejuvenating their defensive backfield if they want to compete against the giant arms of the North (Favre, Stafford, Cutler).
57.) BAL — Ricky Sapp, DE/LB, Clemson
The Ravens look pretty well stacked going into the draft so they can afford to find some LB depth with a pick like this. Sapp is a solid value here as well.
58.) ARI — Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech
The team lost Antrell Rolle to the Giants and they need to find weapons to stop the improving pass games in the West.
59.) DAL — Chris Cook, CB, Virginia
The Cowboys are in the same boat as a lot of other teams in that they need a ton of support in the defensive backfield. With McNabb, Kolb and Eli Manning throwing against them this becomes an extremely big need.
60.) SEA (from SD) — Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
For the record, there is no way that Colt McCoy will fall this far in the real draft, because some team will take a chance and trade for him in the top-40 If he falls that far. Seattle just traded for San Diego’s 3rd stringer and could still draft a QB if one falls to them.
61.) NYJ — Lamarr Houston, DE/DT, Texas
Houston is a huge talent that some 3-4 teams will drool over. The team may look hard to find a receiver here but Damian Williams was the last part of the 2nd tier.
62.) MIN — Vladimir Ducasse, OL, UMass
The Vikings need help in their interior and Vladimir Ducasse has the potential to play just about any position that the Vikings may desire him to.
63.) IND — Sean Lee, MLB, Penn State
If a team thinks that he is going to be healthy enough at the next level then they will take Sean Lee in the 1st. Unfortunately no team can truly believe that.
64.) NO — Daryl Washington, LB, TCU
I personally would consider Washington to be the 2nd best OLB in this draft (and closer to Spoon than most would give), but I don’t see him going in the top-50 of the draft without a team loving him.

Thanks for not touching Carolinas number 1 need till late….. Carolina Will NOT take a QB with their first pick it will be a WR who could most likely return kicks and punts as well.
Good point. I should have mocked them trading a 2011 1st round pick with a team from the NFC to move up and take Brandon LaFell (who I hear they are actually high on). If I had mocked them a WR at 48th in would have been the bottom of the 2nd tier, Damian Williams. Remember the last WR that the Panthers took early? He was also highly touted out of USC because of his route running abilities, and his name was Dwayne Jarrett. He’s the very same guy that fell to the 2nd round to the Panthers, and who has 400 yards and one score total as a receiver. They might take a receiver but if the draft played out similar to how I had it, I don’t know that they reach that far up for a player (or take another USC guy in Williams).
I don’t see them going for a guy like Williams. I know they are high on LaFell, but some have them looking at Jacoby Ford or even taylor price. Steve Smith himself said they need to draft another fast guy. Also keep in mind they may look into a guy who could return kicks. I wouldn’t give up on Dewayne Jarrett just yet. His stats are not much and mostly hurt by a QB who was too afraid to target someone not named Steve Smith or a TE, and a coach who didn’t like to go to a 3 wide set. When Jarrett was in however he was clutch in catching everything that went his way or drawing pentalies based on the size mismatch. Based on who you have going in the 3rd I would say Gilyard is a second round pick on most teams boards and would easily fit the role the Panthers are looking at. Now should they pass on him they could go BPA at DT or DE with the loss of Peppers, then go with someone like Ford in round 3. It does seem likely that Carolina would trade next years first rounder with the chance that there is no football next year but thats also based on how JR sees it being he is one of the key factors on the owners side. But I will give you one credit Thank god you didn’t give us a TE too many mockers don’t seem to see Carolina has the most underrated Trio at TE. Minor changes and this could be very good
Just for the record, Dexter McCluster might go to the Texans at #51 but he won’t be going there from Miss. State. He played at Ole Miss.
Great Change for Carolina that is def something I was thinking LaFell would be a welcoming Pick here indeed
