Chung is not a good fit for the Falcons and their scheme. They would be much better off going Delmas in round 1 and Evander Hood in round 2.

If you would bother to go back over the last 3 drafts; you would discover that Al Davis has made quite a few good picks.

tyler April 9, 2009 at 9:25 AM

Miami will never take Pat white so stop talkin about it. miami wont waste that pick they could use it on a wr but definitely not pat white.

Rob April 19, 2009 at 2:18 AM

The Bears would never take Percy Harvin with Hakeem Nicks and Brian Robiskie still on the board. They already have a burner who needs polish at the position in Devin Hester, so why would they take his clone in Harvin? I agree that he is probably a better prospect than these two guys, especially Robiskie, but he doesn’t fit well in Chicago.

I have seen numerous mock drafts with the Carolina Panthers selecting a DT, with their first pick (second round due to the Otah trade last year) and it really does not make sense.
They bring back both of their starters which they are happy with (they traded Kris Jenkins because of his contract demands plus because they had Lewis already). A second round DT, will be a rotational guy at best for the squad.
Although it is a pipedream, the Panthers have their ambition at Super Bowl level. The second round pick has to be a Cornerback! First, they cut Ken Lucas which means Richard Marshall is the starter. Dante Weasly and CJ Wilson has never been on the depth Chart higher than a Dime corner.
To top all of that off, Richard Marshall is in the last year of his deal. The Panthers are already facing decisions about QB and DE (With Peppers Franchised and Delhomme in the last year of his deal) so resigning him is not a high priority.

TYLER, GREAT CALL ON PAT WHITE LOL. That was a smart pick if they still want too run the Wildcat plus a good solid pick will be a great teammate in the locker room.

the Raiders have 2 3rd round picks and 2 5th round picks and I find it hard to believe the NY Giants are gonna spend their 2nd and 3rd on the same player (unless there are 2 ILB’s from TCU both named Daryl Washington)

mike January 18, 2010 at 1:47 PM

what up man, just let me tell that your draft is the best that i ve seen of mocks drafts..im a huge patriots fan and you selected like a beast,i really hope that they make it like this!!!!!…KEEP DOING IT MAAAN,GREEEEEEEEEEAT

Michael McQuain January 18, 2010 at 7:55 PM

If Brandon Spikes is there in the 2nd round an Al Davis passes on him, I’ll put my head in the TV!!

Ed February 10, 2010 at 11:12 AM

Love the Patriots first 2 round picks, would be so happy if these happened:)

I have to disagree with your rationale for the choice for the Niners here. The best CB on the Niners last year was not Clements–not by a longshot. Their best CB was Shawntae Spencer… The Niners DO need a CB, but it is to replace Clements when his contract stops matching his production (which is pretty much now).

PaddyPatriot February 16, 2010 at 4:13 AM

Pick 44 you have Gresham listed as a defensive end.

Saying that, I do prefer the Pats getting a TE there then in the first round. I don’t know how some mockers have BB ignoring defense in the 1st.

tulsajim March 13, 2010 at 10:20 PM

dunlap would have to be an olb in browns 3-4. to light to play de in a 3-4. give them odrick instead and you have given them a pretty good draft. one other thing berry fills a huge need. browns 8th in league in sacks. yet only 10 ints. have no d backs except for wright

Hunter Ansley March 13, 2010 at 10:48 PM

I think he has the frame to add the weight. I get what you’re saying, but the Browns also drafted a very undersized ILB last year, and I think if he’s there they’ll draft him and see. Either way, I think he helps. And, yeah, Berry does fill a big need. Good call. Thanks for the comment man.

Oddly enough, you’re right and wrong on Dominique Foxworth. Yes, he is comparable to Funny People, but the thing is, I watched Funny People twice. The first time I didn’t really care for it, but being an Apatow fan, I went back and watched it again and found that while it didn’t live up to my expectations the first time around, it’s still quite solid. In the same way, Foxworth wasn’t being called Foxworthless in the beginning of the season for nothing, but in the second half of the season, he stepped up his game. And while he wasn’t nearly the shutdown corner he was being paid as, he was still quite solid (even earning AFC defensive player of the week towards the end of the season). Lack of a significant pass rush was also a big factor in Baltimore’s secondary woes, but Terrell Suggs (after a lengthy holdout and Pre-season injuries) was not in shape. It’s hard to say whether or not him coming in at full strength will not add to the effectiveness of the Baltimore pass defense.

That said, I don’t disagree that Baltimore needs a corner somewhere in the first two rounds (or three if they can manage to obtain a third rounder somewhere). The team needs depth at the position and with the injury to Ladarius Webb (and to a lesser extent Fabian Washington) leaving his future production a question mark, a young guy who can come in and start would take some pressure off the squad.

this is really well written
great job!

isn’t Lamicheal James a sophmore? was he redshirted?

Hunter Ansley December 1, 2010 at 12:14 PM

He took a redshirt in 2008, his first season on campus. Here’s a link … http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=1550427

Thanks for the comment,

no way Young falls to Baltimore they may actually pick him in round one. I also think the Bears can pick Lee Ziemba; he is a much better prospect than Love. Don’t see Marvin Austin falling quite that far either. That is close to where he could be drafted though. Wisnewski and Mallet go in round one. If Mallett slips at the very least some team trades up for him; no way he gets past Seattle. Wiesnewski is the best center in the draft and a mean run blocker; he could go before Pouncy but I doubt it based on twin brothers success. not sure where they compare as guards but Wiesnewski is the better center of the two. Also think Muhammed Wilkerson goes in round one to the Jets or Packers or Steelers.
